Job Summary:

Technical program managers are tasked with managing projects with top-down oversight from inception to completion. They must ensure that all projects adhere to the required standards of budget, timeline, and scope. They must also develop project plans that meet client needs with company goals, and coordinate team managers and technical personnel throughout all stages of the project. 

Responsibilities

  • Understanding of clear business/client requirements for effective project planning and delivery.
  • Ability to Run daily Agile Scrum Meetings and Scrum ceremonies.
  • Co-ordinating between business, technical and client facing teams to remove blockers.
  • Understanding priorities and drive scope and delivery accordingly.
  • Leading and managing all aspects of project planning, within and across related projects, including scope, budget, forecasting, and scheduling.
  • Lead the release process and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Determining resource requirements, resource estimation and managing project resources allocation.
  • Ability to perform capacity planning and highlight risks and constraints.
  • Validate the sprint team’s performance and highlight on risks/slippages and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Contributing to and/or leading vendor relationship management for project-related vendor supports, vendor management standards and coordinating initial contracts, contract renewals, and addenda to contracts with key project vendors.
  • Complying with enterprise project management standards and contributes to their incremental improvement.
  • Monitoring project and/or program execution and escalating project issues as necessary to management.
  • Documenting project decisions and project meetings.
  • Maintaining a flexible work schedule.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree and/or equivalent professional experience.
  • MBA or other relevant post-graduate degrees preferred.
  • 5 or more years in IT Technical Project management experience and demonstrated success.
  • Should have managed Sprint teams and client interactions.
  • Extensive leadership experience and strong teaming abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in Machine Learning projects or similar preferred.
  • Financial Services experience is a significant plus.
  • AML/Sanction Screening Experience (such as Actimize, Mantas, Accuity, Bridger Insight, Compliance Link) is a significant plus
  • Expertise in Agile, Scrum, Jira etc.
